About the Daintree

The Daintree Rainforest is over 135 million years old, the oldest in the world, obtaining World Heritage listing in 1988. The traditional indigenous owners of the land are Kuku Yulangi.

Daintree Coffee Company is located in Cow Bay on the north side of the Daintree River, approximately 11km from the ferry crossing. Recent statistics say on average 500,000 people per year come to experience the Daintree Rainforest and visit the areas from Cow Bay to Cape Tribulation, Australia’s largest renewable energy community.
